We will see an injured Luffy taking a break from the fight to mend his wounds. The entry of Nine Hong Bao was being foreshadowed for a long time. Therefore, this seems like an appropriate time for the two characters to meet finally.
Luffy, with the help of Nine, will regain his strength and get back into action. Besides Nine, Yamato also secretly roots for Luffy. Therefore, she sets out to do her bit to help the Straw Hats. But, her absence proves to be troublesome for Shinobu as she is in charge of guarding her children. This is the perfect time for Kanjuro to charge an attack. Will Shinobu succeed in stopping Kanjuro? Previously on One Piece, two parallel battles were going on. One between Nami, Ulti, and Big Mom, while the other between Kaido and Luffy. The chapter began with a furious Nami who is mad at Ulti for hurting Tama. Thus, a fight breaks out. Big Mom puts a strong blow on Ulti, which ultimately takes her down. But, Big Mom wants to attack Ulti too because she is escaping from the giant lady.
When Big Mom was about to hit Ulti, Kid saves the little child. After this, we are immediately transported to the fight between Luffy and Kaido, where Kaido has succeeded in pushing Luffy down in the ocean. At this cliffhanger, the chapter ends. We don’t know if Luffy would ever recover from the wounds of this fall or not. Let’s see what the next chapter has in store for us.

Sadly, One Piece Chapter 1014 is on a hiatus this week. This delay has also pushed the release of the raw scans. So, the next chapter will come out on 30 May 2021.
