Doga Kobo picked up the manga and produced the anime. Its very first episode premiered on April 5, 2020. Whereas, the anime concluded on June 21 of the same year after having a short run of 12 episodes. Since then, everyone is waiting to know about its sequel.

The show managed to form a fandom without featuring any exaggerated storylines, unnecessary humor, and regular characters. Even the storyline is quite linear, but the different approach makes this show quite unique. This anime is not for everyone, but once you start having an attachment with its peaceful environment and beautiful characters, there is no going back.
The first eleven episodes are very well executed and enjoying, but the season finale spoiled things for this show. It was way too rushed and summed up the story suddenly. The show received some negative reviews only because of this episode’s pacing. Other than that, the plot is very subtle and flows naturally. In fact, it affected its ratings as well, and it only has a score of 6.97 on MAL. There were some flaws in its story, especially in its conclusion. But the show did manage to wrap up the storyline of its protagonists. On the other hand, the twelfth episode of the anime adapted the final chapter of the eleventh volume, skipping the chapters in between.
Therefore, now Doga Kobo doesn’t have enough source material to create Sing “Yesterday” For Me Season 2. The manga series already ended in 2015, and there is no chance of it coming back as well. Therefore, it is likely that fans won’t be able to see the sequel of the anime series.
