It has only been a few weeks after the Star Wars The Mandalorian anime was announced on a global platform. But now, Star Wars Visions Anime looks like a bigger deal. The grand project has been under construction since December. Now, it finally has a release slate. With theatres out of the loop, this gives space to streaming services to take up the project.

LucasFilm and Disney+ are joining hands to bring this venture to a global platform. Visions is an ambitious project by the former that brings together seven Japanese animation studios to culminate a nine-episode anthology. The list includes big names like Kinema Citrus and Production IG. Along with the release date, a new trailer has also come out! So here is every detail from the Anime Expo Lite event.

Star Wars Visions Anime: Anthology Details

The anime anthology includes some of the renowned Studios from Japan that will be recreating epic stories from the Star Wars world. Here is a chronological list of all the episodes that will come out within this show.

For now, only seven of the nine projects have been announced. Whereas, the other two episodes are yet to come out. However, these are the final studio names that will be working with LucasFilm and Disney to bring out the epic tale of Star Wars Visions Anime.

New Trailer Out!

The Anime Expo Lite panel of Star Wars Visions Anime also releases a brand-new promo trailer of the upcoming show. The snippet includes team members from LucasFilm and other Studios telling about their journey working on the project. However, there was no significant sneak peeks from the show itself. Instead, what fans can pick from the trailer is clips of a rock opera and some androids wearing straw hats. It also has the anime image of the twin Star Destroyer and other animation snippets.

Star Wars Visions Anime: Release Date

After setting a monopoly in the streaming and producing business, Disney+ is all set to grab huge profits with Star Wars Visions Anime. The anthology will release soon, on September 22, 2021. So, be ready to witness nine episodes from around the globe in the Star Wars universe. Also, make sure to renew your Disney+ subscription before the anime premieres.
