Hizuru killed Shiori while she was talking to Shinpei. This will create a problem for her in Summer Time Rendering Episode 8. It later revealed that Hizuru had dual personalities of herself and her brother. So it might be the case that Nagumo forced her to kill Shiori before she could reveal the truth behind these shadows. Shiori knew about the secrets and how to stop them, but Nagumo didn’t want this to happen. He wanted to kill everyone living on the island.
It seems like the four-arm shadow belongs to Nagumo, who was killed when he was just 14. Everyone believed that Nagumo died due to losing a lot of blood because dogs aggressively bit him. But Hizuru believes that someone murders him. But nobody tried to find the truth. That is why Nagumo returns to get revenge on the people living on the island. However, Ushio will come to save Shinpei so he can go back in time to alter Nagumo’s death.

Summer Time Rendering Episode 7 opened up with Hizuru Minakata realizing that Shinpei was a time traveler. Shinpei told Ginjirou and Hizuru about Nagumo Ryuunosuke’s book, titled “The Swamp Man.” The book focused on the man that appeared as the shadow. The protagonist was named after Hizuru’s last name. She also informed Shinpei that she met with a shadow 14 years ago who killed her entire family. However, Shinpei told her that they only had 54 hours to save everyone before they disappeared from the festival.
He also informed her that a big shadow with four arms was dangerous. But they needed to find Shiroi’s shadow first and help her leave the world. Hizuru then went to Shiori’s house and started killing the shadows in the household. Meanwhile, Shinpei and Nezu waited outside and talked about Nagumo. Nezu revealed that Nagumo was Hizuru’s twin brother who passed away 14 years ago. He died just like Ushio. While they were discussing Nagumo’s death, Hizuru had a tough time killing Shiori’s shadow. Shiori tried to escape, but Shinpei caught her. She admitted that she killed Ushio, and everyone’s end was near.
