The first season of the anime started airing in October 2021. And the final episode, ‘The Faraway Paladin’, will air on January 3, 2022. The Faraway Paladin is a fantasy light novel series. Kanata Yanagino wrote the series with illustrations from Kususaga Rin. The text first began releasing online on Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2015. Furthermore, they inspired a manga adaptation, and it was serialized online on the Comic Gardo website in September 2017. The manga completed eight issues as of September 2021. Soon after, an anime adaptation began airing on October 9, 2021. The anime is currently airing season one and has been renewed for a second season.
The Faraway Paladin Season 2: Official Announcement
The official Twitter page of The Faraway Paladin confirmed the news of a second season. Furthermore, it informed that the production had been started on the sequel. Season one started airing in October 2021. And, Children’s Playground Entertainment animated the show. Yuu Nobuta directed the series with Tatsuya Takahashi as screen composer. The first season of the show will end with the twelfth episode in January 2022.
The series is based on the fan-favorite fantasy light novel series of the same name. The show stars Maki Kawase as Will, the protagonist. And Katsuyuki Konishi as Blood, the skeletal warrior. Joining them is Yui Horie as Mary, the mummy priestess. Lastly, Nobuo Tobita will play Gus, the elderly sorcery teacher. Season 1 premiered on Tokyo MX and BS NTV. Additionally, Crunchyroll is also airing the show with English subtitles.
Plot Details!
The Faraway Paladin is based on the famous light novel series by Kanata Yanagino. The first season of the show is still airing. And will end with a final twelfth episode on January 3, 2022. The story centers around Will, the only human child in his faraway world. He meets three undead characters Blood, Gus, and Mary. And the three of them tutor him in fields of magic, combat, and ethics. As he grows up, he gets more curious about the world and his future in it.
Season one of the anime is still airing and completed eleven episodes. It draws the story from the second issue of the light novel, The Archer of Beast Woods. Moreover, the author of the light novel series confirmed that Season 2 would follow the third volume of the light novel series. And will have twelve episodes, just like the first one. Also, the third volume, The Lord of the Rust Mountains, will show Will as the Faraway Paladin.

As of now, there have been no announcements regarding the release date of the anime. However, it is confirmed that the new installment will have twelve episodes.
