Studio Gokumi adapted the story of this manga into an anime series that premiered on July 4, 2017. It concluded after running for 12 episodes on September 19 of the same year. It was the last time fans saw this show, and since then, they are waiting to see more of it.

This means Gokume Studio studio still has around seven untouched manga volumes to produce Tsurezure Children Season 2. If the makers want, they can also produce a third season with the remaining volumes.

Both the ratings the viewership of the debut season of the anime series were great. It also has a good score of 7.66 on MyAnimeList. It was very well received by the critics, and the viewers also felt that its concept was very fresh. Everyone wants to see more of this show. However, the purpose behind the release of this anime was to boost the sales of the manga series. It ended back in 2018, which means now Tsurezure Children Season 2 has nothing left to promote. Therefore, it is likely that the producers won’t invest their money in this show anymore. So, the fans shouldn’t raise their hopes very high for its sequel because now it is very unlikely.
