Yowamushi Pedal Season 5 is finally here with a release window. The famous franchise is renewed for a fifth season almost after three years. The anime started with fantastic reviews in 2013. Then, it continued to receive praises for its second season. But failed to deliver with its third and fourth seasons. So, fans are excited to see if the show will redeem with the new installment now. The Yowamushi Pedal anime franchise is based on Wataru Watanabe’s hit manga of the same name. The manga began serializing in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shonen Champion in 2008. The series went on to release 65 tankobon volumes. In addition to the TV series, five movies were also added to the franchise. The series also has its own game by the name of Yowasmushi Pedal Asu e no High Cadence.
Yowamushi Pedal Season 5 Anime: Plot Details
Sports anime are always fun and motivating to watch. Yowamushi Pedal is such an anime based on the sport of cycling. The hit anime draws its story from the famous manga of the same name. The anime is a classic underdog story. It centers around Sakamichi Onoda, a high school Otaku. The story gained popularity due to its important message. It shows that anyone from anywhere can do anything they want.
Growing up Onoda, didn’t have many friends. So, he plans to change it by joining the school’s anime club. But to his disappointment, the anime club has been shut off. But Onoda manages to impress Shunsuke and Naruko with his bicycling skills. Onoda’s hidden talent with his bicycle over the steep hills impresses the two star cyclists. So, the two eventually ask Onoda to become a part of the bicycle racing club of the school. The rest of the story follows Onoda’s transition from an Otaku to a racer.

Production Updates!
The first season of the anime came out in 2013. The second season ran from 2014 to 2015. And the third season ‘Yowamushi Pedal New Generation’ released in 2017. Following the third season, the makers announced the fourth season, ‘Yowamushi Pedal Glory Line’. The fourth installment was released in 2018 and ran for 25 episodes. Yowamushi Pedal’s official Twitter announced the news of a fifth season.
The fifth season will be titled ‘Yowamushi Pedal Limit Break’. TMS Entertainment will return to animate the series. NHK Network will broadcast the series. Daiki Yamashita and Tsubasa Yonaga will resume their roles as Sakamichi and Sangaku. Sadly, there haven’t been many updates on the production process of the anime. The empowering sports anime is still undergoing production for the time being. TMS Entertainment will return to make the fifth season. NHK Network will broadcast the anime.
