It hasn’t been long since the conclusion of the popular anime’s first season. Yet, its fans are already wondering about Edens Zero Season 2. The show serves as a sequel to a blockbuster series titled “Fairy Tail.” Edens Zero is following the footprints of its predecessors as it also opened to a positive response, just like the original series. Edens Zero is a Japanese adventure sci-fi anime TV series. It is an adaptation of Hiro Mashima’s manga series of the very title. Studio JC Staff animated the first season of this show that premiered on the screens on April 11, 2021. Its first season ran for a total of 25 episodes before ending on October 3, 2021. Since then, its fans have been waiting to see more adventures of Shinki Granbell and his friends.
Manga Compared With Anime
As mentioned above, the anime series follows its plot from the manga series of the same title. Hiro Mashima began the serialization of this manga on June 27, 2018. It is still on the run, and so far, its author has released a total of 17 volumes. At the same time, the anime series didn’t even use half of its source material. Its mid-season finale, i.e., Episode 12, ended at Chapter 12 of the manga series. The production studio increased the pace in the second cour of the series and used a total of 40 more chapters for the last thirteen episodes.
Edens Zero’s first season found its stopping point at the 68th chapter of Volume 8 of the manga series. Therefore, JC Staff still has nine more volumes left to create Edens Zero Season 2. It is more than enough source material for them to create another 25-episode installment of the series.

Edens Zero Season 2: Renewal Status
The first season of the anime performed really well and managed to receive a good response from the viewers as well as the critics. The most important thing is that it satisfied the fans of Fairy Tail as well. Its inaugural has a good score of 7.33 on MyAnimeList, whereas it has more than 155K members in its group on the same platform. At the time of writing, it was ranked at #1141 in popularity which is a really good sign.
So, when it comes to popularity, critical reception, and ratings, there seems to be no trouble for its sequel. Moreover, the production studio also has enough content to make Edens Zero Season 2. Therefore, the makers of the series don’t have any solid reason to cancel the series. So, the fans can expect them to announce the second season of the anime very soon.
Edens Zero Season 2: What Will Happen Next?
The forthcoming season of the anime will feature the “Belial Gore Arc” of the manga series. In it, the fans will see Drakken’s ship hijacking the satellite blaze. As a result, Madame Kurenai will send her elite soldiers to the battlefield. In Edens Zero Season 2, the Kurenai Dragoon has been defeated, and then Shiki will bring Kurenai to be judged by Homura. Later the team will return to Edens Zero and reveal the death of Valkyrie to the rest of the Shining Stars.
Edens Zero Season 2: Release Date
The fans of this sci-fi anime might have to wait for a bit to see the sequel of this show. Its first season has just concluded, and now it is likely that the second season will take at least one year in its production.
