Edvard has finally learned that he was doing all wrong, and he needs to come up with different training techniques. So now, in I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 8, Edvard will mull over a new way to train his soldiers. Leo will be a great help. But it looks like he will ask Echidna too. She saved them from the Phantoms, and she enjoyed destroying them. It proves that she loves to battle, and it works as her stress relief.
So Edvard may consider her and ask her to help him train his soldiers. Meanwhile, Mernes will keep a close eye on Leo. Mernes had already warned Lili and Shutina about Leo’s past, but they decided to trust him. However, thanks to him, they were about to lose Edvard. So Mernes will work on a new mission to find Leo’s true intention while the rest of the team will continue to work on the several relics they found from the age of technology.

Julietta Edvard couldn’t understand why his soldiers kept losing in the previous episode. So he talked to Leo, who told him that Edvard is a naturally-gifted warrior. So he had problems understanding other people who weren’t naturally gifted. Instead of focusing on their potential, he assumed they couldn’t be trained. But the assumption went wrong in I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 7. Julietta trained his soldiers to an extreme that they passed out. However, leo promised to help him. Meanwhile, Mernes informed Lili and Shutina about Leo’s past, but they decided to trust him.
Several relics were discovered. One of them was machine golems called Phantom Nines, strong high-ranked demons. So Leo decided to use it. He commanded the Phantom to charge against Edvard, and later, he realized that the golem’s safety restrictions had malfunctioned. So he entered the battle and told Edvard how to defeat it. However, the golem remotely activated another golem for its help. However, Echidna destroyed it. Later, Edvard realized that he was training his soldiers in the wrong direction. So he apologized to his soldiers.

I’m Quitting Heroing Episode 8, titled “Tokyo, 2060 A.D.,” will air on May 24, 2022, on Crunchyroll. The finale will explore more about Leo and his intention to join Edvard. Mernes will also be busy working on a new mission. However, we can hope that the finale will give a complete closure to the characters since the show hasn’t yet been picked for the next season.
