The second episode of In/Spectre saw Hayato and Masayuki on a snowy mountain. However, Hayato pushes Masayuki down. Masayuki lies there feeling hopeless. Suddenly, a woman named Yuki-Onna appears before him. She declares that she can save him. She makes an igloo around him. Yuki-Onna then leaves him to take a rest. She later visits him in the morning. Yuki-Onna even steals Masayuki’s money to buy herself some human snacks. Later, Masayuki reveals the truth about Hayato’s betrayal.
The episode skips to eleven years later. Adult Masayuki is back in his hometown and runs into Yuki-Onna at an ice cream shop. They talk about their past meetup at the snowy mountain. He even offers her money to buy and cook food at his house so she can eat freely. Through Masayuki, she gets to share human culture and food by spending time with him. The next morning, the police arrive at his doorstep to inform him about Masayuki’s ex-wife’s murder. Yuki-Onna also changes herself into a rabbit to hide from the police.
