Isekai Shokudou, aka Restaurant to Another World, is a Japanese cooking isekai anime series. It is an anime adaptation of the fantasy light novel series of the same title by Junpei Inuzuka and Katsumi Enami. The viewers first saw this anime on July 3, 2017. It ran for twelve episodes, which ended on September 18, 2017. And ever since then, the fans are demanding for the second season.
Isekai Shokudou Season 2: Renewal Status!
Silver Link Studios produced the first season of Restaurant to Another World. They did a great job in adapting its LN series. As a result, the anime received a good response from the viewers as well as the critics. Despite that, the studio hasn’t renewed the series yet for its second season. The fans are still waiting for them to renew Isekai Shokudou Season 2. But the makers neither canceled nor renewed the show. Therefore the future of the anime series is still up in the air as there is no official announcement regarding it.
Is There Enough Source Material?
As we mentioned above, the anime follows its plot from the LN series of the same name. Therefore, it is important for Silver Link Studios to have enough source material in order to animate the following seasons. The author has published five volumes of this light novel series so far. And the debut season of the anime already exhausted most of the source material. So, in order to make Isekai Shokudou Season 2, Silver Link studio will need a few more chapters of it. Therefore currently, the makers don’t have enough source material to create the following installment.
Isekai Shokudou Season 2: Will The Anime Return?
For the past three years, the fans have been asking whether they will see the return of Restaurant to Another World or not. So, the answer is it is unlikely that the anime will return. Only the good ratings of its debut season are in favor of its second season. The anime is not that much popular as compared to several other isekai shows. Plus, there isn’t any source material left for its second season. Therefore it is likely that the fans will never see Isekai Shokudou Season 2.
