The manga is currently ongoing. The game was a spin-off of the popular anime Puella Magi Madoka Magica. This anime set a whole new bar for the magical girl genre. Studio SHAFT is producing Magia Record’s anime. The first season aired in 2020. A year late, the second season premiered in August 2021.

Magia Record is a spin-off of Puella Magi Madoka Magica, which features different characters. However, the story is set in the same world as the original series. Magical Girls must fight Witches for fulfilling their wishes. The story is about Tamaki Iroha whose sister goes missing one day. So, she comes to Kamihama City looking for her. It is established Tamaki Iroha is also a magical girl. But she doesn’t remember the wish she made. Thus, in Kamihama City, she meets other magical girls who agree on fighting Uwasa with her.
Uwasa is creatures like the Witches but not quite the same. The story follows the magical and dark adventures of these girls. Moreover, this game story has a unique feature. Its first arc had two parallel storylines. These were ‘The Main Story’ and ‘Another Story.’ The Main Story followed Tamaki Iroha. But Another Story featured characters from Puella Magi Madoka Magica. The events after the resolution of the conflict are in the second arc, which will play out in the final season.

The production staff also announced that the release date for Magia Record Final Season. It was revealed that the series would now release in Spring 2022.
