In the 11th episode of the popular anime, Kinji and his crew encountered the team members of the Belza Guard. Considering them to be allies, Kinji decided to trust captain Ars. However, their reunion did not last long as another attack befell the team. In the midst of the rushing attacks, Kinji saved Ars from the falling ceiling. As a result, the captain deemed Kinji to be a trustable man. Later on, the Guardian stepped in himself to end the mad war. However, Kinji gathered the courage and pushed Ars back.
What followed was an intense battle between the Guardian and Kinji. The warrior announced that the safety of his friends was far more important than his life. Thus, he put the entire crew to the sidelines and fought the Guardian all by himself. The result of this battle is yet to be announced. Even if Kinji loses this significant battle, he has proved that he can think of other people besides himself. Meikyuu Black Company has turned his character arc to a large extent.
