Almost six months after Netflix’s Geeked Week Event, Netflix is back with a large box of surprises. Just when fans thought that the fiesta was over, the company came with multiple announcements. It is certainly looking like this content platform does not want to stay out of the bigger picture. So, this week’s Netflix Japan Festival 2021 brought some exciting projects for the future. For anyone who has binged every anime on the streaming service, more is coming! Here is everything that you need to know from this recent Livestream event.

Kakegurui Compulsive Gambler Spin-Off Anime

The initial two seasons of Kakegurui were a success when they first launched on television. Now, Netflix is ready to premiere the prequel story on its platform. Kakegurui Twin is the prequel story to the original series. Studio MAPPA has already signed a deal with the content platform to animate the series. As of the last update, cast and staff details have not been released. Other than this, Netflix did announce the release schedule of the spin-off season.

Aggretsuko Season 4

The fourth season of Aggretsuko has been in the news for a long time now. Three months ago, the project’s renewal came into the public domain. So, in October 2021, new details were released in the public domain. In the Netflix Japan Festival 2021, the company dropped a brand-new trailer for the upcoming season. The trailer talks about Haida’s turmoiled love life in the next season. So, Aggretsuko Season 4 also has a solid release date set for next month.

Ultraman Season 2

The second season of Ultraman was initially announced in September 2021. Exactly two months after the announcement, the makers have brought in exciting updates. So, the Netflix Japan Festival 2021 event gave away the first look of Ultras in the sequel. Moreover, a trailer that introduces the six Ultra Warriors was also revealed. However, the release details of the second season are yet to be updated by the content platform.

Tiger And Bunny Season 2

Almost ten years after the pilot season came to a halt, Tiger and Bunny anime series would be returning to Netflix. Only two feature films came after the first season. Now, Tiger and Bunny Season 2 will follow the events of The Rising Movie. Netflix had released the first teaser visual of the upcoming project. Moreover, Bandai Namco Pictures is animating the new Saga. The pilot season is also in the process of coming to Netflix.

Vampire In The Garden Anime

One of the most ambitious projects that Netflix is eyeing for the upcoming year is Vampire in the Garden. The original story by Ryoutarou Makihara will be animated by WIT Studio. The mere announcement of this name has created the expected buzz around the internet. Netflix has also released the first teaser visual for the anime. It displays the characters of Momo (Megumi Han) and Fine (Yu Kobayashi) in their original forms.

The Orbital Children

The Orbital Children was originally branded as a two-part film project by director Mitsou Iso. However, when Netflix bagged the licensing rights, it decided to rebrand the venture into a six-episode anime series. But the films will release in Japanese theatres nonetheless. Thus, all the release dates, including the Netflix streaming date, are out in the public domain. It is less likely that The Orbital Children will get a theatrical release in the west.

Detective Conan Spin-offs

Detective Conan anime series has listed two spin-offs lined up for the upcoming year. Both the previously announced projects are now backed by Netflix for a digital release. So, Zero’s Tea Time and The Culprit Hanzawa are ready for a worldwide release on the content platform. However, there has not been any confirmation on the solid release date of the two projects. The content platform will drop the dates in a few weeks.

The Seven Deadly Sins Two-Part Movie

The fifth season of The Seven Deadly Sins posed as the final edition to the anime wing of the franchise. Now, the concluding parts will release in the form of a two-part movie. So, the film is officially titled Grudge of Edinburgh. Nakaba Suzuki is the original writer of both stories. Moreover, the Netflix Japan 2021 Event also dropped the curtains from the first trailer of the project. So, a solid release date is yet to be confirmed by the company.
