Ultraman Season 2: New Trailer Out!
The Netflix Japan Event 2021 brought in some great announcements for the upcoming year. One of the most striking announcements amongst these was the trailer reveal of Ultraman Season 2. The first look of the second season took over the internet within hours of release. The minute-long teaser displayed the Six Ultra Warrior Soldiers in a single frame. Fans also got to see the CG animation of the series for the first time. The last frame of the teaser displayed the release details of the new show.
Plot Details!
The overall story of Ultraman is based on the legend of the Ultraman soldiers. Seven years after the origin of Ultraman, the Earth is in a state of turmoil once again. However, there is no world hero to save the people now. Shin Hayata’s son Shinjiro has no choice but to take up the duties that his father once used to adorn. Thus, Shinjiro becomes the next Ultraman for the world. The pilot season dealt with the conflict of invading aliens.
Ultraman Season 2 will most probably continue with the same storyline. As suggested by the trailer of the sequel, the world will be under the protection of the Six Ultra Warrior Soldiers. Moreover, fans can also expect to see Shinjiro’s Ultras form in the new season. The main antagonist of season 2 is yet to be revealed. This villain will most probably be yet another extra-terrestrial invader.
Ultraman Season 2: Release Date
As of the last update, there has not been any confirmation on the exact release date of the second season of Ultraman. However, Netflix has made sure that the tentative schedule is in the public domain. So, Ultraman Season 2 is dated to release in the Spring slate of 2022.
