The Quintessential Quintuplets is a manga series by Negi Haruba. The manga started serializing in The Weekly Shonen Magazine in 2017. The series ran for fourteen volumes and ended in February 2020. Kodansha Comics USA began publishing the English version of the manga digitally from June 2018. The physical copies started circulating in January 2019. Additionally, a new novel series is scheduled to release soon.
The Quintessential Quintuplets Gets New Novel Series!
The Kodansha Comic Plus website uploaded a release calendar for the month of January, February, and March. The calendar includes all the upcoming projects the publishing company will release. There are two separate lists, one for the novels and the other for comics. More importantly, the upcoming novels list included the Quintessential Quintuplets title. Additionally, the website included a release date for the novel series.
Mika Toyoda will work on the novel series as illustrator. These novels will be the latest addition to the famous franchise. The popularity of the original manga has inspired an anime television series as well. The first season of the anime ran from January 2019 to March 2019. The second season ran from January 2021 to March 2021. Instead of a third season, the series will have an anime film. The film will be the final entry to the anime series.
Expected Plot!
Kodansha has revealed no further details on the plot of the story. So it is unclear whether the novels will adapt the story from the manga or feature original stories. However, as the anime series is ending soon, it is more likely that the novels will get an original story. The novels could continue the story from after the events of the film. Until Kodansha releases an update on the story, there is no telling how the story would start.
The harem romantic comedy follows the story of Futaro Uesugi. Futaro is an intelligent and gifted high school student. After discovering that his father cannot pay off his debts, he begins looking for jobs. Soon he meets Mr. Nakano, who asks him to tutor his daughter. Futaro accepts when the eager father offers him five times the average pay. However, when he goes to the Nakano household, he is shocked to find five identical sisters. Futaro must teach the reluctant sisters and make sure that they pass their exams.

The Quintessential Quintuplets Novels Release Date
Kondasha Comics revealed on their website that the new novel series will launch in March 2022. The Quintessential Quintuplets novels will release on March 31, 2022. Fans of the franchise can stream the anime series on Funimation and Crunchyroll. The Quintessential Quintuplets film will release in May 2022.
