The makers were quick to announce this detail soon after the last release. The series is set around a world that revolves around magic. However, the main lead Tatsuya Shiba is not born with magical powers. This leads to him excelling in tactical knowledge and combat. Now, fans are awaiting the next season. The Irregular At Magic High School follows the story of a manga of the same name. The manga first began its serialization in 2008 and reached an ending in September 2020. While the series came out in 2014 and is still ongoing. The franchise also has a spinoff and a TV adaptation of the same name. The new season will enter the Reminiscence arc of the story, and fans are highly excited.

The official Twitter account of the show brought exciting news to the fans. The announcement was posted on December 31. A teaser commercial also came along with it. Both of the updates were released on the same day as the new 60-minute animated special segment of the show. However, that is all, and not much is known about the new release. In addition, Denegeki Bunko’s New Year’s greetings were also added.
The announcement confirms that the show is under production for a sequel. However, no additional detail came along with it. Plus, the teaser trailer only features footage from the previous seasons. So, a specific format of the renewal is not known. Hence, makers might even bring a movie for the fans. However, a third season is likely to happen instead. The light novel series has created a huge impact, and fans are waiting for more information about their next launch.
Who Is Joining The Cast & Staff?
Till now, no official detail has been out about the behind the cameras team. However, it is clear that the characters will reprise their roles from the last installment. This includes Yuichiro Nakamura voicing for Tatsuya whereas, Saori Hayami will play Miyuki. Then, Kana Hanazawa will voice for Mayumi Saegusa. Lastly, Yumi Uchiyama plays Erika Chiba.
The series has gone through several directors. The first season had Manabu Onu as the director whereas, the last release was of Risako Yoshida. It was a work under Studio Eight-Bit production. The anime also has a film under its name, which also receives the production from the same studio. However, Madhouse was the producing Studio for the first season.

The Irregular At Magic High School Season 2 Sequel: Release Date
Tsutomu Sato’s novel series is yet to receive a definite release date for the anime adaption of its sequel. Plus, the number of episodes that the new season might have is also far to come. With Studio 8 bit working on different projects, an early release might not be possible. If the season adapts 10-13 episodes, then a 2023 or later release will take place. So, fans have to patiently wait for a year or more for their favorite anime.
