The anime is part of the famous multi-media franchise by Tsuburaya Productions. The series debuted with the superhero ‘Ultraman’ in 1996. It is also known as the Ultra series. The project is one of the most popular and long-running series in Japan. A manga series following the anime television series of 1996 came out in 2011. Eiichi Shimizu wrote the story for the anime while Tomohiro Shimoguchi provided the art. An anime adaptation of the sequel manga by Netflix started airing in April 2019. A second season is set to air this year.
Ultraman Season 2: New Trailer, Visuals, And Cast Updates!
The hit anime is based on the famous 2011 manga series of the same name. News of an anime adaptation surfaced in November 2017. However, the first season of the anime aired much later in April 2019. Netflix announced a second season for the anime during the Annecy International Animated Film Festival in 2019. After a long wait, the official Twitter page of Netflix Anime released a new trailer for Season 2. Additionally, a new visual accompanied the trailer.
In addition, the streaming service revealed a new cast member joining the second season. Singer and voice actress Maaya Sakamoto will join the rest of the season one cast. She will play the role of Izumi. She will be introduced as a love interest to Ultraman Taro. Furthermore, co-directors Kenji Kamiyama and Shinji Aramaki will return to work on the second season. Production I.G and Sola Digital Arts will also return to produce the 3DCG anime.
What Will Happen Next?
