After the third season of the Kingdom anime series came to a halt, die-heart fans are resorting to reading the manga. Last week, the Kingdom manga went on a sudden hiatus. The makers did not mention the reason for the break. However, they did announce the next release date for Kingdom Chapter 696. So far in the plot, Kochou’s men have joined hands with Kanki’s army. However, Kanki himself is missing. So, where did the commander go? Here is all you need to know about the chapter.
In the upcoming storyline, Maron and the other commanders will search for Kanki. For now, they do not know if the leader is alive or dead. However, Maron will aggressively push the search mission. This is because he is hungry for the blood of the perpetrators who killed Raido. It will be interesting to see who butchered all of Kanki’s men inside of the camp.
Kingdom Chapter 696: Plot Details
Maron is likely to chase revenge upon the person who butchered the men in the upcoming chapter of the Kingdom. Most of all, he was enraged to see that Raido’s body was minced into pieces. Maron has already concluded that it was Kanki who killed the men. Thus, he will begin to look for the commander all around the camp. Since Kochou’s men have also joined the army, the camp has grown larger in size. Hence, locating him will be more difficult now.’
Thus, Maron will ask Kokou and Rin to split up and begin the search. This point of the plot is especially interesting because even though Kanki’s army is on the winning side, there is a strong rift within his own men. Later in Kingdom Chapter 696, Maron finds Kanki. Thus, fans can expect to see an incredible brawl between the two. For Maron, the war has now become personal. Thus, he might not leave Kanki alive this time.

Previously in Kingdom, Kochou’s army began to join Kanki’s men. As the troops began to retreat, Kanki’s men showed them the way towards the camps. Later, Rin insisted on Kokou and Maron that they should meet with Kanki. This was because they did not know about the plan. Being the senior ranking officials in his army, they were expecting to be in the inner loop. However, when they went inside his camp, all they found was a table adorned with the heads of Kanki’s soldiers.
Rin, Maron, and Kakou were baffled at the scene. They also noticed a box placed beside the dead heads. Kakou went on to open the box. In it, she found Raido’s body butchered in hundreds of pieces. The sickening scene filled them with fear. Thus, they all hurriedly began to search for Kanki.

Fans will be getting the new chapter of Kingdom after waiting for two weeks. The hiatus period has come to an end, and the chapter is almost here.
