In the later part of the episode, Souma has a conversation with Maria. After agreeing that he can keep Amidonia, both of them discussed the other conflict. This was the growing influence of the church over the people of the nation. They believed that they could take advantage of the war to bring people to their side. The episode ended with Liscia and Aisha learning about Kazuya’s third wife.
