The 262nd episode will be a continuation of Kawaki’s character arc. It will focus on his secret mission. Although Kawaki tried to keep it a secret from Himawari, she overheard his conversation with Naruto. Now she will try to uncover the truth. She will start spying on Kawaki. Also, try to know about his daily routine. Soon she will learn that Kawaki is tasked to protect Kae. So she will ask him to join him in this mission. But Kawaki will refuse it.
But, she will start pleading, making it difficult for Kawaki to handle her. So he will give her permission to keep an eye on Kae. But will ask her not to tell anything to others, especially Naruto and Baruto. The upcoming episode “The Princess’s Tea Party,” hints that Kae’s classmate will hold a tea party. But, Kawaki won’t be pleased with the idea. It will be when Himawari could be a great help. He will sense something unusual. So he will tell Himawari to take care of Kae while he deals with this new threat.

Previously in Boruto: Naruto Next Generation Episode 261, Iruka welcomed the new batch of Academy students. Naruto gave them a speech. Among this batch’s new students were Himawari and her friends Yuina Itomaki, Eho Norimaki, and Kawaki. She was glad that her friends were with her. But, Kawaki was on a secret mission. He was tasked to guard Kae Yukiwari, a smaller ally nation Land of Bamboo’s heir.
However, another claimant was creating a threat to Kae. So her father asked Kawaki to protect her and sent her to Konoha for her studies. She also knew about the threat but was excited to study abroad. Meanwhile, her father was trying to uncover the person behind this threat. Naruto also asked Kawaki to keep it a secret even from Himawari. Hana Kana, their homeroom teacher, introduced Kae to the other classmates.
Most of them were excited that Naruto’s daughter Himawari, Gongoro Kamakura’s daughter Osuka Kamakura, and Kae, a princess, were studying with them. But they were scared of Kawaki. However, Kae was interested in him. After a few days, Kawaki reported to Naruto about the mission. However, he complained about the low-level exercises. But Himawari overheard their conversation and was eager to know about Kawaki’s secret mission.
