As per the plot of the manga, Chainsaw Man is the story of the titular hero. The action takes place in a world where humanity lives in fear of giving birth to Devils. The higher the level of fear around them, the stronger the devil gets. Thus, it is a paradox that most humans have been trying to solve all their lives. But there is an organization in this strange world that works on the task of fighting such devils. And the soldiers working for this company are known as Devil Hunters.
Thus, this anime is the story of a newly-formed Devil Hunter, Denji. From being a half-devil to becoming a soldier to eventually becoming the hero of the world, this is the story of bravery and luck. But added as a garnish to this is also a love story that Denji needs to take care of.
