Is There Enough Source Material?

To answer this question in simple words, the Tower of God webtoon has a source material left up for more than six seasons to come. At the time of writing, the manhwa has released 520 chapters in total. However, these chapters have only been compiled in eight volumes by Young Com. In the years to come, the story will continue to publish in multiple volumes. So, the pilot season ended up using only the first 78 chapters of the text. This means that the text still has 442 chapters left up to be adapted.

In this case, the source material is not a hindrance in the release of the second season. There are many factors that play a role in the break of a series.

Tower Of God Season 2: Plot Details!

So, Tower Of God Season 2 is going to continue the storyline from where it left in the first season. After getting betrayed by his own friend, Bam decided that this was his personal fight now. Thus, he was going to climb the tower to look for answers on his own. The story is going to kick-start from the 79th chapter of the manhwa. In reality, Rachel was not the perpetrator of the crime. Instead, she had to plan the events in such a way that it looked like Bam was dead for the Jahad family.

The second season will take a long leap in the story with the arrival of Princess Yuri. The young royal will be seen entering Jahad’s castle. This will catalyze the story as Yuri is the only one who is not convinced that Bam is dead. Thus, she will try to instigate her family about the same. On top of this, the story is also set to introduce a new contender named Ja Wangnan, who is trying to get past the 20th Floor. All these elements are expected to create maddening chaos in Tower Of God Season 2.

What Is The Future Of The Franchise?

As suggested by the abundance of the source material, it can be assumed that the Tower of God has a secured future in the long run. However, there are many factors that work in these cases. This includes the reception as well as source material. In the case of the reception, the future of Tower of God depends on the feedback on the second season. If Studio Telecom Animation Films manages to pull off the same quality in the upcoming seasons, the banner may keep getting add-on seasons.
