As of now, the Japanese distribution partners and the animation studio behind the anime have yet to decide the future of the show. It scored 7.69/10 positive ratings on MyAnimeList, 8.1/10 on IMDb, and 7.23/10 on AniDB. Further, the first season of Dance Dance Danseur secured the 23rd position in the most popular series. Thus deeming its performance, we can expect that studio will soon return with the second season of Dance Dance Danseur.
Is There Enough Source Material?
Well, the first season only explored the fragment of the original source material from George Asakura. The first volume was published back in 2016, and since then, there have been almost 23 Tankobon volumes of the manga series. The latest series was released in March 2022. Thus there is plenty of source material to explore the story. Apart from this, the manga is still ongoing. That means more volumes will publish in the future. So chances are high for Dance Dance Danseur Season 2.

If the anime series returns for the second run, then we can expect that the previous voice artist will return to reprise their characters. Daiki Yamashita will give voice to Junpei Murao, Koki Uchiyama to Ruo Mori, and Kaede Hondo to Miyako Godai. Besides, Kohei Amasaki will give voice to Misaki Yasuda and Koutaro Nishiyama to Yamato Takura. Jun Inoue will also return to give voice to Kotobuki Himenokoji and Misato Fukuen as Natsuki Oikawa.
Dance Dance Danseur Season 2: What Will Happen Next?
In the first season finale, Jumpei finally starts understanding ballet as an art. He gets a crash course about its history and learns that the ballet was performed by the noble. He finally learns why Oikawa Natsuki criticized him in the past. But after learning this, he decides to follow his mentor’s order. Everyone noticed his quick progress but didn’t appreciate it. Meanwhile, Jumpei and Luou are challenged to prove their point to win the scholarship. So the boys performed pirouettes. But whichever loses the challenge will quit the class.
Although Jumpei’s performance is technically awesome yet it lacks some wow factor. So he tells Luou that he did his best and now it’s his turn. But Luou did his best as he came up with a quadruple spin that secured them a place in the class. But one of their classmates started bad-mouthing Luou, and he left the class. Now in the upcoming season, both Luou and Jumpei will focus on their improvement. They will support each other and face some new challenges. But they won’t give up performing ballet. There’s speculation that they will soon become celebrities after their successful performance.
Dance Dance Danseur Season 2: Release Date
As of now, the animation studio and the television network have yet to announce the future of the show. However, we can expect the studio to renew the show for the second run soon. Back in April 2021, the television network ordered the first season and it aired in April 2022. So deeming this timeframe, we expect that the production will take roughly 12 months to wrap up.
