On Wednesday, Kadokawa, a major Japanese publishing house, said that the upcoming poker-themed High Card Anime would have new voice actors and a new plot. Kakegurui’s inventor Homura Kawamoto is teaming up with his brother Hikaru Muno and TMS Entertainment on a new multimedia project centered around the game of poker. Nobunaga Shimazaki is a new addition to the cast, and he’ll be playing Owen Alldays. Theodore, the CEO and boss at Pinochle, employs Owen as his secretary. Owen, a trusted employee, is said to be one of only a few aware of High Card. In March of this year, news about the series initially surfaced.

The release date has not been announced officially as of yet. This may be because there are still a few months until the new year begins, giving them time to make the announcements.
