The news comes from the official pages of Adult Swim. On May 18, 2022, all the social media platforms of the streamer announced that the Rick And Morty Anime was finally happening. Along with this, the director of the show was also announced. Tower of God fame manga artist Takashi Sano will be directing the 10-episode venture. Moreover, the production work is under Telecom Animation Films. A teaser and cast details are yet to be revealed by the makers.
Will The Plot Be The Same?
The announcement that was made by Adult Swim was limited only to the reveal. Other than the names of the production company and the staff, nothing much was revealed about the project. The only thing that has been mentioned is the fact that the entire plot would not be similar to the original show. Only the themes of the show would be seen in the anime. So, the original Rick and Morty show deals with the adventures of the titular duo.
