Thursday marked the release of new updates in already-announced Tomodachi Game Anime. First announced in November 2021, Tomodachi Game has been in the news for all the right reasons. And now, we finally have a release window for the series. Apart from this, what the fans are desperately looking forward to is the first trailer of the show. Tomodachi Game anime is based on a manga series of the same name. The text first came out in the year 2013 and continues to publish after the 19th Volume. Written by Mikoto Yamaguchi, this psychological thriller has remained to be a fan-favorite for the longest time. Now, as the series completes ten years in 2023, Studio Okuruto Noboru takes up the anime project for a release next month.
Tomodachi Game: Plot Details- Similar To Squid Games!
Crunchyroll, the licensor of the series, just released the official synopsis of the story. As per this, the story follows high schooler Katagiri Yuichi whose entire life revolves around high school and a bunch of good friends. His list of friends includes Sawagiri Shiho, Shibe Makoto, Mikasa Tenji, and Kokorogi Yutori. But this seemingly normal life turns upside down when most of their school trip funds go missing. Now, these children are stuck in the middle of a debt repayment game called Tomodachi.
And so, not only is their willpower tested in these times but this long-strong friendship is also put on the pedestal. Can all five of them escape the game alive? Is there any way to come out without paying back the debts? So, watch the series next month to find all the answers.

The Tomodachi Game anime is being made at Okuruto Noboru Animation Studios. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventures fame creator Hirofumi Ogura is directing the series. In addition, Kenta Ihara is writing a series inspired by the manga. Satomi Miyazaki is in charge of the character designing department. Further, Michiru has been handed to the music composition department. Lastly, the sound direction of the series will be done in Studio Mouse. As of the second week of March, there has been no trailer or teaser from the side of the makers.
Tomodachi Game: Release Date
So, the most recent announcement by the makers confirmed the final release window for Tomodachi Game Anime. So, the anime series will be will premiering on April 5, 2022. Japanese Networks NTV, BS NTV, and AT-X will be hosting the launch. Moreover, international fans will find the series only on the official pages of Crunchyroll.
