In simple words, Kakashi never wished to kill Rin, rather wanted to protect her according to his sacred promise. It was Rin’s decision to die in the hands of Kakashi. Did Kakashi Have Feelings For Rin?
Rin’s death had a huge impact on Kakashi’s life. The trauma he faced that day stayed with him till his dying breath. After Rin’s saddening demise, Kakashi would visit her grave and deliver her all the secrets and the operations. Moreover, after Obito seemingly dies, Rin confesses her feelings once and all for Kakashi, but Kakashi totally ignores her. He wished to be a true shinobi and considered being in love as a weakness.
