Nekopara is a Japanese slice-of-life comedy anime series. It is an adaptation of a visual novel series of the same name by Neko Works. Felix Film animated the debut installment of this show. The inaugural episode of the anime series premiered on January 9, 2020. It ran for twelve episodes before concluding on March 26 of the same year. It has already been more than a year, and fans are still awaiting the renewal of Nekopara Season 2.

The series was predictable, and it didn’t surprise the viewers at any moment. However, the show wasn’t dull either. Despite the fact that it is predictable, it is quite entertaining. It seems like the anime is about a family of cats who are in the form of humans.
The show lacked depth in both its story and the characters. The great thing about Nekopara is that it didn’t overdo the fanservice, Besides it didn’t feature any nude scenes either. Plus, its art and animation are also clear and pretty good. Overall, the show is not very great and but it is not very bad either. However, it might bore the viewers at some point.

The debut installment of this comedy series received a mixed and positive response from the audience. The critics praised some particular things about it, but they quickly revealed its flaws as well. It has an average score of 6.76 on MyAnimeList. Yet, the show is quite popular due to the visual novel and game series. In terms of popularity, the series is doing great, but there is a concern for the source material as well. The visual novel only has four volumes, and the makers already used most of its content.
It is still running, but a new volume releases once every year or two. So, it is likely that the production company won’t wave the green flag for Nekopara Season 2 until they have enough source material for it.
