In the tenth episode of Sonny Boy, one of the girls of the class finds out that her secret power is mind reading. She had discovered the power only recently. Later in the episode, Ms. Aki suggested that the class should start training at a summer camp as they all must have the necessary skills to fight in a war. However, during their joint training, the girl used her mind-reading ability and found out that Asakaze was secretly in love with Nozomi. She also discovered that it was Mizuho who has been causing all the drifts for the class.
Later on, Nozomi and Asakaze leave for the jungle to find out more about the incoming war. The students learned that war is only the term given to a mysterious person who jumps down a cliff. However, due to Ms. Aki’s manipulations, Asakaze starts to think that Nozomi might never like him back. By the end of the episode, one more drift appears, and Nozomi falls off the cliff. She reached out to hold Asakaze’s hand, but he did not catch her.
