What Will The Anime Be About?

The story of The Duke of Death and His Maid is based on the title characters of Duke of Death along with his guardian maid. At the beginning of the story, we learn that the Duke is cursed to steal life from any living thing that he touches. His life becomes miserable because of this curse. To his relief, he is accompanied by his maid Alice, who enjoys aiding him. This one is a beautiful story of bonding between these two. We hope that the essence of friendship and loyalty is captured in the anime, just like the manga.

For starters, Houchu Ohtsuka will be voicing the role of Rob, a butler who serves the Duke and who is also a guardian to him. Moreover, Inori Minase is seen as Viola, the Duke’s sister who enjoys all sorts of sweets. Additionally, Wakana Kuramochi will be voicing Caph, who is half-human and half-witch in the show. Hiroshi Kamiya will be seen as Zain, the wizard. Lastly, Yūma Uchida is voicing Walter, who is the Duke’s younger brother.

As for the crew members, Yūya Hatano is the character model director for the show. Yoshiki Yamakawa is directing the anime at J.C. Staff. Whereas, Shogakukan Music & Digital Entertainment is in charge of the CGI. Akira Suzuki is also on the team as art director. Moreover, Miho Kimura is joining the lot as a color designer for the show. As a cinematographer, Shingo Fukuyo is signed. And Kentarou Tsubone will be editing the anime adaptation. All these capable hands project that the show is nothing short of a superhit.

The Duke of Death and His Maid anime is all set to premiere on Tokyo MX on July 4 at 10:00 p.m. JST. You can also watch this adaptation on BS11, and Yomiuri T.V. Before the show actually releases, the makers are planning for a promotional event to release the theme songs. This event will take place on June 28. So buckle up for a beautiful story of love, friendship, and loyalty this fall.
