Towa was with one of Setsuna’s patrols. This was the time when Setsuna decided to tell her sister about her time in the forest. When she was abandoned by almost everyone, she had to survive in the darker portions of the forest on her own.
The later part of the episode dealt with the introduction of Shiori, who was a permanent resident of the forest. She was a half-demon, half-bat-demon being. Setsuna told her sister the tale of her life with Shiori and how they battled Gaga Gozen during their prime. Now, the next episode will take us back to the present modern era.
