The premiere date of I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2 is finally out. It hasn’t even been an entire year since the viewers saw its debut season, and the anime is ready to return. It seems like the studio was impressed with its great popularity and the reception of the series. In fact, the makers have already released a promotional video along with the OP and ED of the sequel. THe Japanese anime fantasy anime series, 100-man no Inochi no Uae ni Ore Wa Tatteiru is popular known as I’m Standing on a Million Lives around the world. It is the remake of Naoki Yamakawa’s manga series of the same name. Studio Maho Film animated the first season of the series and is working on the second one as well. The anime made its debut on October 2, 2020. Whereas, it ran for 12 episodes before ending on December 18 of the same year.
Manga Compared To The Anime
The first season of the anime closely followed the manga series. It even improved the rushed pacing of its initial chapters of the source material. The manga left the readers in confusion, whereas Maho Films dedicated two whole episodes only for the introduction of the series. Then, the production studio picked up the pace right from the third episode. Its fifth episode was the one where the series actually showed its potential by revealing its thematic side.
The pacing of the anime’s first season quite perfect, and it ends up adopting the first three volumes of the manga series. The authors have published a total of 11 books so far, and now I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2 will begin at the fourth volume of the series. If its pacing remains to be the same, then in the second season, Maho Films will likely adopt three more volumes.

The most-awaited trailer for the anime’s second season is finally out. It is providing a glimpse of what is about to happen in the sequel of the series. Thus, the journey for the long-awaited justice will begin very soon. All the characters are looking very intense, and they are determined to fight for their cause. The trailer is introducing some new characters as well. By the look of the trailer, it seems like both the action and romance will increase in, I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2. Kaede Higuchi performs the opening theme “Baddest” for the second season, whereas its ending theme is “Subversive” by Kanako Takatsuki.
What Will Happen Next?
In the second season of the anime, fans will see Yotsuya, Shindoa, and Hakozaki, along with his friends facing a new reality. The way things stand right now, the anime will now follow the Island of Disasters arc. They are suddenly hit by a reality that the virtual world they are thinking is actually an alternate dimension and is real. As a result, whoever they hurt virtually actually got hurt. Thus, Yotsuya is disturbed by the fact that he actually killed someone.
Now, in I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2, the group will continue their new quest. They will re-enter the mystical world, and this time they will bring a new partner in the form of Torii. During their time in the alternate world, Yotsuya realizes that they are facing a time jump, and fifteen years have already been passed in the other world.
Later on, they will travel along with a group of mercenaries that were shown in its trailer as well. Canteele will be leading them to Jiffon Island. Yana and Ahyu will be there to welcome the crew. Moreover, Yotsuya and others will be given a task to take down the Orc Queen and her children on the island. They control the thing that Yotsuya and his friend need to complete the quest.
I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2: Release Date
Along with the trailer, the production company also revealed the release date of the upcoming sequel. I’m Standing on a Million Lives Season 2 is all set to premiere on July 2, 2021. However, its first episode will be the recap of its debut season. So, the second season will actually premiere on July 9, 2021. First, the show will air on Tokyo MX, ABS TV, and AT-X Network, and then it will be available to stream online on Netflix and Crunchyroll.
