March 2021 marks the end of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime. But besides farewells, this month is now set to welcome another exciting project of this franchise, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie. Much before the official announcement, the internet was buzzing with the news of the arrival of a prequel movie. This time, the makers just dropped a brand-new trailer for the film without any prior notice.
The movie is based on the prequel manga by Gege Akutami, which tells the story of a much younger Satoru Gojo. Studio MAPPA is animating the film as usual. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie: New Trailer Out!
The new trailer was dropped recently on all the official platforms of the Jujutsu Kaisen Anime. For a start, the arrival of the trailer solidifies the fact that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie is not going to face any delay in the release process. Talking about the trailer itself, the 30-second snippet only introduces the character of Yuto to the audience. So, the young boy can be seen standing upfront to his friend, all determined to set her curse free. Besides, even the color grading and animation of the movie look much better than the original show. What Will Be The Plot?
As one can speculate, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie will directly adapt the storyline from the parent manga of the same name. JJK0 tells the prequel story of the events of the original anime. The title of the prequel manga is “Tokyo Metropolitian Curse Technical School.” According to reports, the story of the movie will follow the Cursed Child Arc from the manga. The story will shift from Itadori to Yuto Okkostsu, who is struggling to get rid of the spirit of his childhood best friend.
As usual, we will visit the Jujutsu High Academy and our beloved professor Satoru Gojo as he tries to help Yuto. Moreover, Yuto will learn the art of Jujutsu and overcome the fear of the spirit of his friend. Thus, it will be interesting to see how MAPPA will mold the story for a better theatre watching experience.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie: Release Date
For now, the makers have only come out with a Japanese release date of the movie. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Movie will premiere in the Japanese theatres on December 24, 2021. Moreover, the name of the assigned global distributor and the release date are yet to be announced by the makers.
