The fans of the Shaman King The Super Star Manga may not be pleased to know about the latest developments in the release of the new chapter. When Kodansha released the Shonen Magazine Edge this month, fans were expecting a new Shaman King chapter. However, they only received a compensatory note from the editor’s table. Even the official website of Viz Media did not update the page after the 33rd chapter. So, why did the manga not release in this issue? How long will this hiatus last? Here is all you need to know.

The Shaman King The Super Star Manga is spin-off series of the original SK manga. The second series is also created by the original author Hiroyuki Takei. The manga began serialization in May 2018 in Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge KC. So far, the manga has serialized five volumes. Now, fans are waiting for the next edition.

When the October Issue of Kodansha’s Shonen Magazine Edge came in the markets this month, fans were expecting a new chapter of the Shaman King The Super Star Manga. However, all they received was a statement that revealed a piece of bad news. The statement was in regard to the absence of the new chapter of Shaman King. In the magazine, it was noted that the Shaman King spin-off manga would not return with a new chapter in the next issue. The reason behind this was stated to be the busy scheduled to be the busy schedule of author Hiroyuki Takei.

The statement mentioned that the manga would go on a hiatus for an uncertain period of time since the author is going to be occupied with ‘other work.’ However, the nature of this work has not been clarified by the makers. The author has also not come out with a public statement to reveal more about the hiatus. Kodansha only detailed that coming issues will keep fans updated in regards to the manga.

Thus, he would not be able to illustrate new chapters. Besides, the nature and duration of the work were also not clarified by the author. The statement also mentioned that the Shonen Magazine Edge would announce a resumption date in further issues of the magazine.
