Both Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen are some of the most popular anime series and quickly rose to fame right after their debut. The first episodes of both these shows were more than enough to let the viewers know something great thing is coming. Well, Naruto is a shonen classic and is a part of the Legendary Big Three. On the other hand, Jujutsu Kaisen is on its way to becoming one of the best new-generation anime.
Both Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen are similar in different ways regarding the settings and characters of the series. Some fans even joked around, saying that JJK has less edgy Sasuke and more useful Sakura in the form of Megumi and Nobara, respectively. So, why are Naruto & Jujutsu Kaisen Similar? Below is the answer.
Fiery Demon Inside The Protagonist
The very first and major similarity between Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen is that the protagonists of both these shows have fiery demons inside them. Naruto has a demon in the form of Kurama, whereas Yuji Itadori has the King of Curses, Sukuna. Naruto was able to control the powers of the demon later in the series. However, Sukuna lends Itadori his powers only when he wants.
Trio Of Team 7 & First Years
Both Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen have a classic trio which consists of two boys and one girl. In Naruto, the fans saw Team 7 that has Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura in it. Whereas in JJK, they saw the first years of Tokyo Jujutsu School that has Yuji, Megumi, and Nobara in it. Even the personalities of these characters are quite the same. The protagonists are the knuckleheads, and the second guy is an introvert who belongs to a high clan. The girl in the trio is the most violent one, and at the same time, she supports the group as well.
Kakashi Hatake & Gojo Satoru Are Twin Brothers
The most similar thing in Naruto and Jujutsu Kaisen is the trio’s mentor. In Naruto, we have Kakashi, and in Jujutsu Kaisen, Gojo. These are characters who are responsible for the success of their respective shows. Both of them have shown their incredible powers in the very first arc of the anime series. Their appearance is also quite similar, and they look like twin brothers. Both of them cover their incredibly powerful eyes and only use them in battles. Kakashi has Sharingan, and Gojo owns Six-Eyes Cursed technique. They are one of the most powerful characters of their respective verse and an irreplaceable sensei to the trio of the protagonists.
Great Supporting Characters
One of the best things about both these shows is that they have an amazing set of supporting characters. Except for the main trio, there are other characters as well who thoroughly contributed to the storyline of the series. Naruto has some greatest characters in the form of Shikamaru, Hinata, Itachi, Jiraiya, and many more. On the other hand, Jujutsu Kaisen has Nanami, Maki, Toke, Panda, Todo, and many more great supporting characters. These characters make the storyline of the series even more interesting.
When it comes to the villains, there are very few series that managed to achieve the level of the Naruto series. It goes without saying, Naruto has one of the best sets of villains in the entire anime history. Orochimaru, Itachi, Pain, Akatsuki, Zabuza are some of the most affecting antagonists of the series. However, no one can beat the level of Madara. He was certainly the best and most intimidating villain of Naruto.
The good thing is Jujutsu Kaisen also has some really great villains. It already featured some antagonists like Mahito, Getou, Hanami, The Zenin Family, Cursed Rika, and Kuchisake Onna. But the villain of JJK who has everyone’s heart is none other than Sukuna himself.
