The premiere episode of the anime came out on April 12, 2019. It ran for a total of eleven episodes before reaching its conclusion on June 21 of the same year. Since then, otakus around the globe are waiting to see the second run of this show.
Sarazanmai Season 2: Renewal Status!
There was a solid hype around the show even before its premiere. The news that MAPPA and Lapin Track are working together on a project was enough to excite the anime fans. What’s The Show About?
The first season of Sarazanmai follows the story of Kazuki, Toi, and Enta. They accidentally break the statue of Kappa. This statue serves as the guardian god of Asakusa. As a result, Keppi, the prince of the Kappa kingdom, transformed the three of them into kappas. They joined Keppi to collect the Dishes of Hope that can fulfill the wishes of anyone who possesses it. To acquire these Dishes, they have to collect Shirikodama of zombies. The other empires control this society by manipulating their desires.
However, these kingdoms are the sworn enemies of the Kappa kingdom. As a result, all the three boys have to defeat the zombies, and there is only one way to do it. They have to say the phrase “Sarazanmai,” but they have to be united when they say it.
Sarazanmai Season 2: Release Date
Even if the second season of this show is in the cards, it won’t premiere anytime soon. Both MAPPA and Lapin Track have their handful of projects, and it must be difficult for them to spare time for the sequel of this show. Yet, if Sarazanmai Season 2 gets the green light this year, then it might release by the end of 2023.
